If you and your dog take pride in donning matching Halloween costumes and floating about town, this doggie treat-filled event is for you. Now in its 19th year, Wag-o-Ween got started in 2006 when Sara Portman created a small community parade to raise money for local animal rescue groups. Sadly, Sara passed in 2020, but since then The Hipster Hound and Renegade Paws Rescue stepped up to build Wag-o-Ween into one of the Hostess City’s most beloved charity events.
Last year, more than 3,000 human and dog pairs dressed up and navigated the highly revered event map to more than 100 businesses for dog treats and people goodies to raise over $100,000 for local efforts and animal rescue groups.
To participate in this year’s Wag-o-Ween, you’ve got to purchase your tickets by October 25th—that’s today!—quick, buy your tickets. These get you entrance into the participating businesses replete with treats as well as other downtown happenings within the two-day event.
